ABOUT BALLIN MARKETING + COMMUNICATIONS
Founded in 2001, Ballin Marketing and Communications works with an array of talent: musical, celebrity, and creatives in the design field, constructing and building brands. Based on the belief that marketing must be integrated and comprehensive, Ballin develops wholistic campaigns, employing tactics such as website development, social media management, PR and networking to help artists gain exposure in the constantly changing media and digital landscape.
“A story is the center piece of any brand," says Balin. "Crafting the right narrative is the start of any successful brand building campaign."
The landscape has changed drastically since 2001. Today it's not enough for artists to engage in just one form of marketing. Instead, clients need a variety of strategies to saturate the marketplace and let people know they exist.
Founded by former music journalist, Nicole Balin is the co-author of the Big Freedia memoir God Save the Queen Diva! (Simon & Schuster) and served as an editor at The Source magazine, the undisputed Bible of hip-hop in the 90s. She has over two decades in the music industry, building relationships with music and lifestyle journalists, bloggers, influencers, and industry insiders.
Ballin PR has built a client roster that includes the Grammy-Award winning group Linkin Park, Too $hort, Kool Keith, Guru, Kool G. Rap, Roots Manuva, Zion-I, Z-Trip, People Under the Stairs, and reality TV star and music artist Big Freedia.
Ballin is dedicated to artists and designers who work outside the industry norms and who are truly shaping culture.
